Fulton, IL, USA - Construction of the Octagon -Phase 2
The second phase of the construction of the octagon consists of reassembling the diagonally connecting beams of the main frame.
With the help of the small crane the (still very heavy) smaller bilinga beams are lifted to their appropriate spots. All of the beams, up until the smallest connecting pieces, were numbered in the Molema workshop in the Netherlands to help Eric and Guus with the reassembly on site.

In about a week and a half's time the two Dutch workers finished phase one and two of the work on the octagon: the main supporting and diagonally connecting bilinga beams.
Next phase will be the exterior, horizontal lining with pine wood.
